Masashi Kishimoto takes over as scriptwriter of the manga Boruto

Through the official Twitter account for the Naruto franchise, which is a creation of Masashi Kishimoto, it was announced that the manga Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will no longer have the participation of scriptwriter Ukyo Kodachi and it will be Kishimoto himself who will assume the role of writer for the series. In the same statement, it is mentioned that this change 'was already contemplated from the beginning'. On the other hand, Ukyo Kodachi, thanked the fans of the series for supporting him until now.

Episode 52 of the manga, which will be published on November 21 in the December issue of V Jump magazine, will be the first to feature Masashi Kishimoto as a writer.

Kodachi and Ikemoto began publishing the manga Boruto: Naruto Next Generations in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on a monthly basis in May 2016, and then moved it to V Jump magazine in July 2019. The publisher published the tenth compilation volume on January 4.


The anime adaptation is currently on air since April 2017 under the production of Studio Pierrot.


Synopsis by Boruto: Naruto Next Generations


After the successful end of World War IV Shinobi, Konohagakure enjoys a period of peace, prosperity and technological advancement. This is due to the efforts of the Allied Shinobi Forces and the village's Seventh Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto. Now Konoha resembles a modern metropolis, and changes are also taking place in the lives of the shinobi.
