Through his official Twitter account, the writer of the light novels Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi (Redo of Healer), Rui Tsukiyo, commented that there is a possibility of a second season of the animated adaptation. "If you manage to keep this pace, there is a possibility for a second season to come, so I hope you will make increasingly better profits," the author wrote in his publication. Regarding the "pace", he may be referring to the series' performance on streaming platforms, highlighting those in China, where it also had considerable success.

It is worth mentioning that, although the number of volumes intended to be adapted from the original light novels has not been officially revealed, the presence of some characters in one of the promotional images would have given an indication that a large part of the plot published to date will be covered. With only one episode aired, the series has already aroused criticism through social networks by users in the West, however, it is common knowledge that in Japan this type of series does not generate any controversy, as commented by one of the producers of Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari (The Rising of the Shield Hero), Junichiro Tamura, during a question and answer session on Reddit in 2019.
