Through the Twitter account of Ogino Kentarou, the renowned editor of the literary franchise created by Kazuma Kamachi, Toaru Majutsu no Index, it was revealed that a new project is currently in development, which is a new spin-off manga series focused on the character of Misaki Shokuhou, also known as Mental Out.
The details of this release are not yet officially known, however, its publication could start from this 2021.

About Toaru Majutsu no Index
It is a series of light novels written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Kiyotaka Haimura, who began publication through Kadokawa Publishing's Dengeki Bunko imprint in April 2004 and completed it in October 2010, with 22 volumes. A sequel entitled "New Testament" was published between March 2011 and July 2019, with 23 volumes, and "Genesis Testament" has been published since February 2020, with two volumes to date.
The work inspired a 24-episode anime adaptation produced by J.C. Staff Studios, under the direction of Hiroshi Nishikiori, and scripts written by Masanao Akahoshi, released in October 2008. A second season of 24 episodes was released in October 2010, and a third season of 26 episodes was released in October 2018.
