Nippon TV Company announced that it has secured international distribution of the anime adaptation of the Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu (Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-) light novels globally except Asia through the Crunchyroll platform.
The company noted that it has also secured distribution in Asia through MediaLink Entertainment's Ani-One Asia service and the Aniplus-Asia TV channel. Thus, the twelve-episode project will premiere next July through all these distributors "shortly after" the original broadcast in Japan.
On the other hand, Kei Azumi began publishing the novels through the Shousetsuka ni Narou service in 2012, and later the AlphaPolis publishing house began its publication in paper in May 2013. A manga adaptation by Kotora Kino has been published since June 2015.
Synopsis of Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu
The fantasy story centers on Makoto Misumi, an ordinary high school boy who is sent to a new world as a brave warrior. Unfortunately, the goddess of that new world scornfully told him, "How ugly you are," stripped him of his title and banished him to the farthest reaches of the desert.
While wandering around the area, Makoto encountered dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves and all sorts of fantastic creatures. Due to differences in the environment of his home world, Makoto now exhibits extraordinary magical and combat powers. He therefore survives in this world while facing various threats. Thus the curtain rises on the alternate-world social reform fantasy centered on a young man abandoned by both gods and humans.
