A leak from China assured that the Isekai Quartet crossover project will have an animated feature film called Isekai Quartet: Another World . The leak is not confirmed, however, in April 2020 it was confirmed that the project would have " a sequel ", which at the time would have been considered a third season.
Now, with the current leak, it is not clear if the " announced sequel " will be this feature film or if it will be a separate production in the format of a third season, so we will have to wait for the announcement to be officially revealed, if is that the information is true.
On the other hand, the original project, which has the participation of fourth franchises: Overlord , Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! ( KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! ), Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu ( Re: ZERO -Starting Life in Another World ) and Youjo Senki ( The Saga of Tanya the Evil ), inspired a series of animation shorts produced by Studio Puyukai , under the direction and scripts written by Minoru Ashina . The twelve-episode first season premiered in April 2019, followed by a second season in January 2020. A third season is confirmed.
Synopsis of Isekai Quartet
It's a normal day; Everyone from deranged military girl Tanya Degurechaff and 16-year-old isekai protagonist Satou Kazuma to expansionist overlord Ainz Ooal Gown and demon sisters Rem and Ram go about their daily lives. Suddenly, a striking red button appears before them, asking to be pressed. Overcome by curiosity, otherworldly characters push the button and are sent to an unknown world. With no way to escape, the characters must lead a normal school life and get to know each other. One thing's for sure: the classroom full of fan-favorite eccentric personalities never gets boring!
