Through the official website for the anime adaptation of the spin-off novels Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Bakuen wo! ( Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! ), which stars Megumin , the first promotional video for the series was released. This preview shows some graphic materials and a bit of the production process for the animation of the project.

Natsume and Mishima published the original light novels titled Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! ( KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! ) through Kadokawa 's Sneaker Bunko imprint between July 2014 and March 2019, with a total of five volumes. A manga adaptation by Kasumi Morino ran in Kadokawa ' s Monthly Comic Alive magazine between April 2016 and December 2017, followed by Zoku Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Bakuen wo! , published between February 2018 and May 2020.
