Israeli fans of the popular Dragon Ball franchise have broken another kind of power level, with nearly a thousand fans breaking a Guinness World Record for the largest number of participants performing a "Kamehameha" in honor of the new movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super. Hero on August 18.

All 974 entrants came to Israel's Cinema City theater where they were directed by Israeli voice actors Avi Meir and Uri Har Lev . Meir is famous for voicing the protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise Son Goku , in the Hebrew dub, while Har Lev voices his son, Gohan . The two characters associate themselves with her signature technique, the Kamehameha, a signature ki blast that is accompanied by a now-iconic pose of holding her wrists together with her hands spread wide before launching forward.

The crowd of participants included Israelis of all ages, and some even came in costume. The previous record was set in 2019, when 784 participants gathered at the San Diego Comic Con. The enthusiasm of all these fans was praised by Cinema City CEO Avi Edry . It's amazing that another record has been broken in Israel and it's also a great opportunity to invite the whole world to enjoy the last days of summer and come watch movies of different genres with us ."
