During a special event held in Tokyo for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda , Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru ( My Dress-Up Darling ), the production of a sequel for the franchise was officially revealed with upcoming release date to be announced. The format of this new project was not revealed at this time, which means that it is not yet known if this sequel will be a second season or a movie.
At the moment, the manga has nine published volumes, of which five have already been adapted to anime.
To celebrate this announcement , Shinichi Fukuda , author of the manga, shared a special illustration starring Marin Kitagawa and Wakana Gojo.
The first season premiered during the Winter-2022 season (January-March) in Japan and had a total of twelve episodes, while the Crunchyroll and Funimation platforms are responsible for its distribution in the West, also with a Latin Spanish dub. . For his part, Shinichi Fukuda has been publishing the manga in Square Enix 's Young Gangan magazine since January 2018.

Gojou has not yet perfected the making of the dolls' faces, but he is exceptionally skilled at making his clothes. His skill with the sewing machine is soon discovered by his beautiful classmate Marin Kitagawa, whose boldness and honesty Gojou both admires and envies. She instantly shares with Gojou his own hobby: he likes to dress up as erotic video game characters.
