- Spike Chunsoft, Inc. regrets to announce today that it will not be able to release CHAOS;HEAD NOAH on Steam as originally planned due to changes required by Steam's guidelines for in-game content. Spike Chunsoft, Inc. believes that these changes will not allow the game to release to their standards.

The company is studying the possibility of distributing the title through alternative stores and, when the details are decided, will make another formal announcement. Until then, we appreciate your patience and understanding. Please also be assured that the Nintendo Switch version will not be affected and will be released on October 7, 2022, as planned.
The news drew a variety of comments from fans, disappointed that other Japanese content will no longer be released on Steam , marking the umpteenth time this has happened, highlighting: " This game doesn't even have sex, just a lot of violence "; " This video game is rated PEGI 16. This is just Steam spreading its hate for content produced in Japan "; « Hey, Valve, I have an idea: if the classification board of a specific market says that a game does not deserve to be classified as “adults only”, then there is no reason to reject it in said market »; among others.
