A press release officially confirmed that Maybe ' s Tales of Wedding Rings ( Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari ) manga will get an anime adaptation. The statement revealed that the project will feature voice actors Gen Satou and Akari Kitou as Satou and Hime, respectively.
However, no production details or a scheduled release date were revealed. However, the release included a comment from the creative group Maybe , who wrote:
« Honestly, we were surprised that the anime adaptation came at a time when the manga series was almost at its plot climax and we were thinking about how it was going to end! At the beginning of the series, like probably many other authors, we had a small hope that it would become an anime, but there had been no luck. Fortunately, however, serialization was allowed to continue for a long time and we were fully satisfied with this work ».
Maybe began publishing the manga through Square Enix 's Big Gangan magazine in March 2014, and to date it has accumulated more than 1.3 million copies in circulation. It should be noted that he is also the author of other works such as Tasogare Otome x Amnesia ( Dusk Maiden of Amnesia ) and Katsute Kami Datta Kemono-tachi e ( To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts ), which have previously inspired anime adaptations.
