Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie Manga Is Nearing End

Keigo Maki , author of the Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie ( Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san ) franchise, shared an update via his official Twitter account showing a graphic that reads “最終話 (Final Chapter) ”, which served as a hint that the author is already writing the final chapter of the work and that, therefore, the manga is nearing completion.

The author's publication did not reveal more details, so we will have to wait for more information on the status of the work to be revealed. It should be noted that the manga inspired an anime adaptation in 2022, however, if the original manga ends it means that the chances of a second season are greatly diminished.

For his part, Maki began publishing this manga through his Twitter account under the title Kawaii dake ja Nai Onnanoko , and later began publishing it through Kodansha's Magazine Pocket service in February 2019. The work inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation, produced by Doga Kobo studios and released in the Summer-2022 season (July-September) , with Crunchyroll in charge of its distribution.
