During the AnimeJapan 2023 event, a new promotional video for the anime adaptation of the novels written by Satoshi Wagahara and illustrated by 029 , Hataraku Maou-sama! ( The Devil is a Part-Timer! ). The video confirms that the project's third season will premiere next July in Japan, and announces that Madoka Asahina is joining the voice cast as the character Acieth Alla.

It's like they started a new anime as a sequel, but looking at the 2011 series, then it's the third season.
The second season aired during the Summer-2022 season (July-September) and had a total of twelve episodes. Wagahara and 029 published the original light novels through Kadokawa 's Dengeki Bunko imprint between February 2011 and August 2020, with a total of twenty-one volumes. A manga adaptation by Akio Hiiragi has been published since February 2012.

However, due to the absence of magic in the new world, both Satan and Alciel change their forms to humans. To survive, Satan takes a part-time job at the "MgRonald" fast food restaurant, while Alciel takes care of the housework. One day, Satan (who now goes by the name Sadao Maou) meets Emi Yusa, who turns out to be the heroine Emilia.
