A leak from the upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine confirmed that the manga written and illustrated by Yuki Tabata , Black Clover , has reached its plot climax . Let's remember that this term is used to indicate that a manga is extremely close to ending, since it is close to the conclusion of its final battle. This usually indicates that there are only a few chapters left to publish, but the amount varies depending on the manga.
However, this wasn't really a surprise considering the recent developments in the manga. What really surprised was the confirmation that the manga will stop publishing in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine after the August 21 issue, and will move to the Shonen JUMP Giga . This magazine is published only four times a year , so we would be having a new Black Clover chapter roughly every three months. How long will it take then to finish the manga?
Tabata began publishing the manga in Shueisha 's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2015. The work inspired a 170-episode anime adaptation produced by Studio Pierrot , under the direction of Tatsuya Yoshihara and Ayataka Tanemura and scripts written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and Hatsuo Nara , released in October 2017. It was followed by the original film “ Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King ” in June 2023, and a leak claims that the anime's return is in production.
Synopsis for Black Clover
Asta and Yuno were dumped at the same church on the same day. Raised together as children, they came to know the "Wizard King," a title given to the strongest wizard in the kingdom, and vowed to compete against each other to see who could become the next Wizard King. However, as they grew older the vast difference between them became apparent. While Yuno is able to wield magic with amazing power and control, Asta is unable to use magic at all, desperately trying to awaken his powers by physically training.
When they turn 15, Yuno receives a spectacular Grimoire with a four-leaf clover, while Asta receives nothing. However, soon after, Yuno is attacked by a person named Lebuty, whose main goal is to get hold of Yuno's Grimoire. Although hopeless and on the verge of defeat, Asta finds the strength to survive upon hearing Yuno's voice, and unleashing his inner emotions he receives a Grimoire of a five-leaf clover, a "Black Clover" that grants him enough power to overcome the threat. Now they both have a chance to become the Wizard King!
