On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate , Haikyuu!! , the first promotional and visual video for the first feature film of the Haikyuu!! END . The video confirms that its release is scheduled for February 16, 2024 in theaters in Japan , in addition to announcing the production team.
Haruichi Furudate began publishing the manga in Shueisha 's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2012 and ended it in July 2020, with the publisher compiling the work in a total of forty-five compilation volumes. Four seasons of the animated adaptation of the project have been produced to date, accumulating a total of eighty-five episodes.
The first season of twenty-five episodes aired in Spring 2014 (April-June) , followed by a second season of twenty-five episodes in Fall-2015 (October-December) , a third season of ten episodes in Fall-2016 (October-December). ) and a fourth season of twenty-five episodes divided into two parts in Winter-2020 (January-March) and Fall-2020 (October-December) . All seasons have been produced by Production IG studios .
Synopsis of Haikyuu!!
Shouyou Hinata started playing volleyball after watching the "little giants" who played the sport when she was in elementary school. He suffers a crushing defeat in his first and last high school tournament at the hands of his rival Tobio Kageyama. Hinata then joins the Karasuno High School volleyball team, vowing revenge against Kageyama. However, Kageyama is also on Karasuno's team. The former rivals form a legendary combo with Hinata's mobility and Kageyama's precise ball handling. Together, they take on local tournaments and agree to face Karasuno's rival school at the nationals.
