During the announcements prior to the Anime Expo, the publisher Yen Press revealed the acquisition of three new manga licenses, in addition to a long-awaited novelty: an illustrated artbook of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian.

Even a Replica Can Fall in Love comes to manga

Among the novelties is the manga adaptation of Even a Replica Can Fall in Love, an original work by Harunadon and illustrated by Momose Hanada. Yen Press had previously licensed the light novels, and now expands its catalog with this emotional story.

The plot revolves around Sunao, a girl who has a replica that replaces her when she does not want to go to school or feels bad. However, things get complicated when her replica begins to experience love for herself.

Demon Lord 2099 bets on futuristic action

The second license announced corresponds to the manga adaptation of Demon Lord 2099 (Maou 2099), a work written by Daigo Murasaki and adapted by Yutaka Sakurai. Yen Press also publishes the original novels and will now present the manga in a 3-in-1 compilation volume.

In this story, the Demon King Veltol returns in the middle of the year 2099 to a world dominated by cyberpunk, where magic and technology coexist dangerously.

Divine Incursion adds supernatural mystery

Yen Press also confirmed the release of the Divine Incursion manga, based on the novels by Oumi Kifuru and illustrated by Kōya Ashitaka. This announcement is in addition to that of the novels, which were licensed in April.

The story begins when colossal body parts begin to fall from the sky onto a city, without any trace of viscera or internal remains. Katagishi, of the Special Department of Divine Incursions, becomes embroiled in a series of supernatural mysteries that threaten to unleash chaos.

An artbook for fans of Alya Sometimes

Finally, Yen Press presented the long-awaited official artbook of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, illustrated by Momoco. This full-color book will include illustrations from volumes 1 through 8 of the light novels, as well as promotional art, chibi versions, and an exclusive short story written by Sunsunsun, the original author of the series.

The series inspired an anime adaptation in July 2024 and has already confirmed its second season for 2026, consolidating itself as one of the most beloved romantic stories of recent years.
