The
official site of the anime adaptation of the manga Yofukashi no Uta
(Call of the Night), written by Kotoyama, announced on
Friday new additions to the cast and musical details for its long-awaited second
season.
The
renowned seiyuu Tomokazu Sugita will play LG, a
character who acts as a follower of Midori Kohakobe, thus expanding
the universe of vampires and humans that are intertwined in the story.
Creepy
Nuts will put rhythm to vampire nights
Popular duo
Creepy Nuts are back in charge of the theme songs, performing both
the opening theme "Mirage" and the closing
theme "Nemure." It should be noted that the original title
of the manga comes from a song by the same duo, which was also used as the
opening theme in the first season.
Premiere
date and broadcast details
The second
season of Call of the Night will premiere on Friday,
July 5 at 05:30 (Spanish time) on the Noitamina programming
block of the Fuji TV channel and its affiliates in Japan.
The HIDIVE platform will be in charge of broadcasting the
series internationally as it is broadcast.

to Sugita, it has been confirmed that:
- Rina Satō will play Kiku
Hoshimi, a seductive woman who conquers Mahiru, Kō's friend.
- Maaya Uchida will play Haru
Nanakusa, a nurse who bears a resemblance to Nazuna.
A review
of the first season
The first
season aired in July 2022 under the direction of Tomoyuki
Itamura (known for the Monogatari saga) and
with LIDEN FILMS in charge of the animation. The script was
written by Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Bleach)
and the character designs were the work of Haruka Sagawa.
The
original story was published in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen
Sunday magazine between August 2019 and January 2024, with a total
of 20 compilation volumes. The work mixes romantic comedy, vampires
and nocturnal explorations with a unique sensibility that conquered readers.
What is
Call of the Night about?
Young Kō
Yamori leads an empty life until he meets Nazuna Nanakusa,
a mysterious vampire who invites him to experience the freedom of the night. Kō
wants to become a vampire, but to do so he must fall in love with Nazuna... a
more difficult goal than it seems when the past begins to come between them.
