Turning an
adult manga directly into an animated adaptation for television without going
through a previous commercial serialization is not something that is seen every
day. Hitozukiai ga Nigate na Mibojin no Yuki Onna-san to Noroi no
Yubiwa (The Shy Snow Woman and the Cursed Ring), based on the
work of Puuzaki Puuna, made headlines by presenting its first
official trailer and confirming that its uncensored version will be released
early on September 11, before its arrival on Japanese television in October.
The
production confirmed that this animated version will have an unpublished story
that will take a different direction from the original work. The team behind
the project released a promotional trailer where you can hear the opening track
titled "Choux Cream," performed by Hitomi Suzune. In
addition, the animation will be in charge of the Studio Hokiboshi studio
under the Suiseisha label, known for their productions in the
short format block for adult audiences.
In the
direction section, Kazuomi Koga will be in charge of the
project, while Eeyo Kurosaki is in charge of the composition
of the series. The character designs were adapted by Minakyawa Akapiv,
with Miyako Nishida in the general direction of animation and
the sound production carried out by Studio Mouse under the
orders of Mikumo Amakuwa. The main voice cast will be led by Harumichi
Shido as Satoru Takahashi, Rikka Kitami playing
Mifuyu Yukino, and Sara Ayumi in the role of Kaede Kiryuin.
Born as a full-color independent manga created by Puuzaki Puuna, the work has two published volumes to date. The premise follows a young landlord who finds a mysterious ring with the power to control supernatural beings such as yokai. Without thinking twice, he decides to use this strange artifact on a shy snowwoman who lives as a tenant in one of his apartments, triggering a series of crazy and rather risqué situations.
