A press release announced the production of an anime
adaptation of the light novels written by Shinogi Kazanami and
illustrated by Makai no Juumin , The New Gate ,
which will premiere sometime in 2024 in Japan. The statement revealed the
production details and the voice cast in charge of this project.
Shinogi Kazanami began publishing the story
through the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2013,
and the publisher AlphaPolis began
publishing it on paper with illustrations from Makai no Juunin in December
2013. A manga adaptation by Yoshiyuki Miwa published through
the AlphaPolis Web Manga service since November 2014.

Synopsis of The New Gate
“The New Door,” an online game that had become a deadly
game, was freeing the tens of thousands of players who had been drawn into it,
thanks to the efforts of Shin, one of the oldest players. But after
defeating the last boss and freeing everyone, he was engulfed by a strange
light and found himself inside the game world 500 years in the future.
