Jujutsu Kaisen fans say goodbye to a beloved character

Today a new broadcast finally arrived for the second season of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen, which adapted one of the saddest moments of the original manga. The fans had to do with a strong feeling of bitterness the moment in which Kento Nanami, one of the most popular characters in the franchise, dies before the eyes of a shocked Itadori.

This moment had already been quite popular from the moment it was captured in the original manga, especially since Kento Nanami had become one of the favorite characters for many fans. Although working conditions at MAPPA studios remain and will likely remain overwhelmingly precarious, fans tend to forget about this when an episode becomes a trend, and return to the habit of sharing clips on Twitter with the hashtag #ThankYouMAPPA.

Anyway, leaving aside the hypocrisy of the Internet, this moment definitely did not take long to go viral on social networks, attracting an immensity of comments not only from women who considered Kento attractive Nanami and who mourn his loss, but also from men who admired the character and attitude of the popular character. Even Kenjiro Tsuda , Kento Nanami's voice actor, had already announced yesterday on Twitter that he hoped to receive the support of fans in today's broadcast:

  • «Tomorrow, November 23, there will be a new broadcast of Jujutsu Kaisen in Japan. To all Kento Nanami and Jujutsu Kaisen fans in general, please support us," wrote the voice actor.

And after today's broadcast, he wrote: «Atoha Tanomimasu», which are the last words that Kento Nanami leaves to Yuuji Itadori before die. This translates as " I leave the rest to you ", prior to his death at the hands of Mahito. With this phrase, Kenjiro Tsuda himself would also be saying goodbye to Jujutsu Kaisen, since in the original manga the character does not have new lines of dialogue again (leaving aside flashbacks and so on) until the recent death of another popular character in the franchise.

Anyway, why don't we go on to review the reactions of Internet users to this new episode?

  • «This story arc is definitely pain episode after episode, and the next one will be mourned by men».

  • «When did it all go wrong? No jokes today, only pain. The horror does not end, I am looking up emptyly».

  • «They did this scene spectacularly, I really wished they had done it like this when Yuuji broke down emotionally last episode».».

  • «Who suffered the most? Jesus on the cross or me seeing this?».
  • «Certainly, I no longer have a heart in my chest that makes me feel pain».

  • «The guy went through a lot of emotions, a sad way to go, to be honest».

  • «The moment he said, “I'll leave it in your hands,” I had to remove the video. I'm not ready to witness all this».

  • «I wish this scene had been a higher priority in MAPPA's plans, it feels empty».

  • «You will never understand how much I hate and will continue to hate Mahito throughout my life».

  • «I can't wait to see the moment when Mahito will be intensely raped by our beloved protagonist».

  • «Almost all Jujutsu Kaisen fans will lose their minds today, Nanami really didn't deserve to die that way, he deserved to be happy with his girl».
