On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light
novels written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah,
“Tensei
Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a
Slime)”, a new promotional video for the third season of the project was
revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for the Spring-2024
(April-June) season and that this third season will have an
extended duration of two arcs (six consecutive months of broadcast).
Additionally, a special titled “Tensei Shitara Slime
Datta Ken – Showing Off 10 Years of Progress and Charm!” will premiere on
the 30th January 2024 in Japan, in preparation for the resumption of the anime
adaptation. The press release also revealed that STEREO DIVE
FOUNDATION will be responsible for the new opening theme, although the
name of the new song was not revealed.
For its part, Fuse began the publication of
light novels with illustrations by Mitz Vah, with a
manga adaptation by magazine from . A total of two seasons have been
produced to date, totaling forty-eight episodes, in addition to multiple OVAs

Sinopsis of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken
Satoru Mikami, 37, is a typical corporate worker who is
perfectly content with his monotonous lifestyle in Tokyo, apart from not having
gotten a girlfriend even once in his life. In the midst of a chance encounter
with his colleague, he falls victim to a random assailant on the street and is
stabbed. However, as he succumbs to his wounds, a peculiar voice echoes in his
mind and recites a slew of orders that the dying man cannot make sense of. When
Satoru regains consciousness, he discovers that he has been reincarnated into a
slime in an unknown realm. By doing so, he gains new abilities, most notably
the power to devour anything and imitate its appearance and abilities.
He then stumbles upon the catastrophic-level sealed
monster “Storm Dragon” Veldora, who has been sealed for the past 300 years for
razing a city. Understanding his situation, Satoru befriends him and promises
to help him destroy the seal. In exchange, Veldora gives him the name Rimuru
Tempest to grant him divine protection. Now, freed from the mundanities of his
past life, Rimuru embarks on a new journey with a clear goal in mind. As he
becomes accustomed to his new physique, his clingy antics spread throughout the
world, gradually altering his destiny.
