On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light
novels written by Shinogi Kazanami and illustrated by Makai
no Juumin , “ The New Gate ”,
the first promotional video for the project was revealed. The press release
listed the premiere as scheduled for the Spring 2024 (April-June) season
in Japan, and revealed more members of the voice cast.
New cast members include:
- Shunya
Hiruma and Wilhelm Avis.
- Akiho
Suzumoto como Millie.
- Kaori
Ishihara as Rashia Luzel.
Shinogi Kazanami began
publishing the story through the independent service Shousetsuka ni
Narou in 2013, and the publisher AlphaPolis began
publishing it on paper with illustrations from Makai no Juunin in
December 2013. A manga adaptation by Yoshiyuki Miwa published
through the AlphaPolis Web Manga service since November 2014.
Synopsis of The New Gate
“The New Door,” an online game that had become a
deadly game, was freeing the tens of thousands of players who had been drawn
into it, thanks to the efforts of Shin, one of the oldest players. But after
defeating the last boss and freeing everyone, he was engulfed by a strange
light and found himself inside the game world 500 years in the future.
