Different media in Japan reported that “ Haikyuu!!: Gomisuteba no Kessen ( Haikyu!!:
Battle of the Garbage Dump )”, the new film in the “ Haikyuu!!” franchise. “,
debuted to overwhelming success on its first day in theaters in Japan. According
to reports, the film had an initial gross of around 890 million yen (more than
5.92 million US dollars).
This single figure places this new film in fourth position in the ranking of first-day earnings in the entire history of cinema in Japan , only behind “ Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie: Mugen Ressha-hen ” (1,269 million yen); “ ONE PIECE FILM RED ” (1,232 million yen); and “ Jujutsu Kaisen 0 ” (1,072 million yen). While above other hits like “ Youkai Watch Movie 1: Tanjou no Himitsu da Nyan! ” (874 million yen); “ Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine ” (859 million yen) and “ Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time ” (803 million yen).
It should be remembered that this film is the first of
the two-part film project, “Haikyuu! Final”, which will apparently adapt the
remaining original manga content, which involves around 110 chapters. Evidently,
fans assume that two films will be insufficient to adequately cover such a
number of chapters of the manga, so the content could be extremely condensed if
the production team really intends to end the adaptation with these two films.
Haruichi Furudate began publishing the manga in Shueisha 's Weekly
Shonen Jump magazine in February 2012 and ended it in July 2020,
with the publisher compiling the work in a total of forty-five compilation
volumes. Four seasons of the animated adaptation of the project have been
produced to date, accumulating a total of eighty-five episodes.

the "little giants" who played the sport when she was in elementary
school. He suffers a crushing defeat in his first and last high school
tournament at the hands of his rival Tobio Kageyama. Hinata then joins the
Karasuno High School volleyball team, vowing revenge against Kageyama. However,
Kageyama is also on Karasuno's team. The former rivals form a legendary combo
with Hinata's mobility and Kageyama's precise ball handling. Together, they
take on local tournaments and agree to face Karasuno's rival school at the
