On the
official site for Yostar Pictures and Pony
Canyon 's upcoming original anime , “ Sorairo Utility ,”
a new promotional video and more members of the project's production team were
revealed. It should be remembered that this new project is based on the OVA
released in December 2021 by the same production duo, but this new
project does not yet have a scheduled release date.
The special, released
in December 2021, was directed by Kengo Saitou , who at the
time explained: " The golf anime that I have said time and time
again that I wanted to do, I am actually being allowed to do. I'm very happy ".
On the other hand, this was one of the first animation projects of the Yostar
Pictures studios, founded in January 2020.
Synopsis
of Sorairo Utility
“At this
rate, I will graduate to a mere background character!” Minami Aoba was worried.
She didn't have any particular strengths or things she wanted to do. Is it okay
that her high school life ends as such an ordinary supporting character?
Leaving school behind, Minami searches for her own “special uniqueness.” She
stumbles upon a nearby golf driving range by chance. Approaching part-time
worker Haruka Akane, Minami picks up the golf club: the “Utility”.
And that
was the encounter between Minami and golf. Winning is not the only thing in
golf! Everything related to golf is fun! Together with the brilliant golfer
Haruka and Ayaka Hoshimi, who aspires to be an influencer, they are looking for
the moment to become “protagonists”! As a super beginner, Minami is wielding
her club again today.
