franchise and its derivatives reported the death of Akira Toriyama ,
author of the original manga, after an acute subdural hematoma at the
age of 68. The press release wrote:

away on March 1 due to an acute subdural hematoma. He was 68 years old. We
deeply regret that he still had several works in full creation with great

Toriyama was a Japanese
manga artist and character designer. He achieved mainstream recognition for his
hugely successful manga series “ Dr. Slump ”, before creating
