Fans have learned about Netflix viewership
data for the most popular anime series for the second half of 2023 ,
with action titles dominating the list – along with some intriguing surprises.
Netflix has released the second half of
its big “ What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report ”
data dump from July to December 2023. The report covers 99% of all viewing
on Netflix. Especially for anime fans, the data reveals some surprising results
for the most watched series in the second half of 2023, with “ Baki
Hanma: Season 2 ” in first place, followed by “ My Happy
Marriage: Season 1 ” and “ Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba:
Entertainment District Arc ” that complete the podium.

(calculated as total hours viewed divided by duration). “My Happy
Marriage” stands out as the only romantic title, and may surprise some due to
its excellent second position in terms of views. “Baki Hanma” takes
the lead in terms of hours watched, while “Demon Slayer” can impress even more
with its three titles in the top 10. In total, 90 billion hours were watched on
Netflix in the second half of 2023, a figure slightly lower than the 93 billion
from January to June.
