There is no doubt
that “ Chainsaw
Man ” is one of the most popular manga today, and while there may
be debate over whether author Tatsuki Fujimoto 's drawing
skills have been on the decline, no one can deny that each new chapter manages
to capture the attention of fans.
The current arc has
put Denji, the protagonist, at a crossroads. After he was captured, dismembered
and “put back together,” Denji has been on a rollercoaster of emotions that has
him beyond confused. After kissing Asa Mitaka / Yoru and she
masturbated him until he came, Denji went with his companions to a sushi
restaurant with a conveyor belt (where the dishes circulate in front
of the diners and they choose which one to eat),
When Varm, the
hybrid with the Flamethrower Demon, appeared before Denji, he explained that he
could help him see Nayuta again. Reluctantly, Denji begins to follow
his instructions to enjoy the sushi, while Varm tells him that his current
version of Chainsaw Man is incomplete , since his true power is to
erase concepts from existence.
To unleash their true
power, Varm hypothesizes that the chainsaws could have had other uses before
being erased as well, and states that two factors are needed to summon the
Chainsaw Demon: everyone's fear, as well as their unhappiness. The
first is already accomplished, since now people are terrified of him. And the
second is true when Denji looks at the conveyor belt and sees Nayuta's severed
head approaching.
Is
Nayuta really dead? There
are many doubts about this, especially because of her status as a Demon. Some
believe that she is simply a replica and that Varm is trying to break the
contract between Denji and Pochita. Also, Asa Mitaka/Yoru still doesn't
remember the first kiss with Denji, which means Nayuta's ability still has an
effect. Let's remember that a Demon's abilities remain active until
her permanent death, which would be a clue that she is still alive.
