On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Karuho Shiina , “ Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You ”, a new promotional video for the third season of the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for August 1, 2024 through the Netflix platform globally, and shows a fragment of the opening theme titled “ Et Cetera ” and performed by Imase .

Shiina began publishing the manga in Shueisha 's Bessatsu Margaret magazine in August 2005 and ended it in November 2017 with a total of thirty compilation volumes. The manga had a total of 125 chapters and the second season of the series adapted up to chapter number 46 of the manga, so the anime has about 79 chapters left to adapt.

Synopsis of Kimi ni Todoke

Sawako Kuronuma is a 15-year-old student who is often mistaken for the horrible and vengeful spirit Sadako Yamamura from The Ring. The striking resemblance causes Sawako to be called “Sadako.” Due to her distant and gloomy appearance, her classmates have become afraid of her and stay away from her. But despite this treatment, she harbors an innocent and diligent heart.

Given her sincere desire to make friends, Sawako has a deep admiration for Shouta Kazehaya, the most popular boy in her class. Thanks to his refreshing personality and smooth interpersonal interactions, Kazehaya attracts people naturally. Wishing to be more like him, Sawako begins to spend more time with Kazehaya. As he tries to turn the page, Sawako is encouraged to explore new things he had never dared to do, with Kazehaya by his side.
