During the Aniplex Online Fest event
, a new promotional video was revealed for the upcoming season of the anime
adaptation of the manga “ Blue Exorcist ( Ao no
Exorcist )”, which will be titled “ Blue Exorcist: Beyond the
Snow Saga ”. The video confirms that the premiere has been scheduled
for October 5 in Japan.
It is worth remembering that a fifth season
titled “Blue Exorcist: The Blue Night Saga” will premiere shortly after, in
Winter-2025 (January-March). Officially it is being called “second
part of the fourth season”, but the name change opens the possibility that they
will later start calling it “fifth season” from Japan, as has happened before.
For her part, Kazue Kato began
publishing the manga in Shueisha 's Jump
SQ magazine in April 2009. The work inspired a twenty-five-episode
anime adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures studios under the
direction of Tensai Okamura and scripts written by Ryouta
Yamaguchi , released in April 2011. A second season titled
" Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga " premiered in January
2017, followed by " Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga "
in January 2024.
Synopsis of Blue Exorcist
Humans and demons are two sides of the same coin, just
as Assiah and Gehenna, their respective worlds, are. The only way to travel
between the two worlds is through possession. However, Satan, the ruler of
Gehenna, has been unable to find a worthy vessel to possess and thus remains
locked away in his world. In a desperate move to conquer Assiah, he sends his
son, with the purpose that in the future he will become a worthy vessel capable
of becoming the king of the demons.
The story follows Rin Okumura, who seems to be an
ordinary boy, until one day he is ambushed by demons. His world is turned
upside down when he discovers that he is the son of Satan and that his father
is looking for him to return so they can finally conquer Assiah together.
