During the “ MF Bunko J Natsu no Gakuensai
2024 ” event, a new promotional video was revealed for the third
season of the anime adaptation of “ Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another
World- ( Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai
Seikatsu )”. The video features a snippet of the ending theme song
titled “ NOX LUX ” performed by MYTH & ROID ,
and confirms the following premiere dates:
- The
“ Attack Arc ” will premiere on October 2 with an
extended 90-minute episode and eight episodes (the first
of which has already been leaked in full from a Crunchyroll screening).
- The
“ Counterattack Arc ” will premiere on February 5, 2024
and will also have eight episodes .
The press release also revealed that Aoi Yuuki will
be voicing Capella Emerada Lugunica, one of the Archbishops of Sin, in charge
of Lust and leader of the Witch Cult.
Tappei Nagatsuki began
publishing the novels independently through the Shousetsuka ni Narou service
in April 2012, and Kadokawa began publishing them
in paperback with illustrations by Shinichirou Ootsuka in
January 2014. A total of two seasons and a variety of OVAs have been produced
for the anime adaptation, all by WHITE FOX studios .
Synopsis of Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
As he leaves the store, Subaru Natsuki finds himself
in a bustling city inhabited by humans and demi-humans. The city, which uses
dragons and carriages as its means of transportation, is evidently not the
modern Japan he knows. However, as someone who spends his days engrossed in
comics and games, Subaru assumes he is a protagonist in this new fantasy world,
harnessing supreme magical powers. Unfortunately for him, this is not the case,
and things quickly go awry when he runs into a group of thugs. Fortunately, a
silver-haired beauty named Satella comes to his rescue, as she searches for her
stolen badge.
In return for his kindness, Subaru offers to help him
on the quest, which eventually leads them to a loot shop. Assuming the badge
was exchanged for money, Subaru enters the shop in hopes of bargaining with the
owner over the stolen item. However, to his surprise, what awaits them is not
the badge, but a brutal killer who leads the two to their deaths. But instead
of waking up in the afterlife, Subaru is shocked to find himself alone in the
middle of the day, as if he never left the city in the first place. Thus, his
life in another world mysteriously begins for a second time.
