On the official website for the anime “ Dragon Ball Daima ” it was announced that the next episode will not air until January 10, 2025 in Japan, suspending the broadcast scheduled for January 3. This suspension was already scheduled in advance, coinciding with the New Year schedules that give priority to other types of special events on television, so fans should not worry.

For its part, “ Dragon Ball Daima ” premiered on October 11 in Japan and so far has not confirmed the number of episodes it will have. This is the sixth televised series of the “ Dragon Ball ” multimedia franchise, and the second and last one directly written by creator Akira Toriyama , who passed away in March 2024.

Synopsis of Dragon Ball Daima

After saving the world from the destructive power of Majin Buu, Son Goku and his allies look forward to a well-deserved rest. However, unbeknownst to them, their battle has been recorded and observed by Gomah, an evil being who has assumed the title of King of the Demon Realm, filling the void left by the death of the previous ruler, Dabura. At Gomah’s side is Degesu, the younger brother of the Supreme Kai, a being who dominates the universe. Jealous of his brother’s power, Degesu works alongside Gomah to steal the Dragon Balls from Earth and preemptively subdue any potential future enemies.

Calling upon the power of the legendary dragon Shenlong, Gomah wishes for Gokuu and his friends to become children, intending to steal from them the limitless power that defeated Buu. With Earth’s greatest warriors shrunken, Gomah kidnaps Dende, the planet’s reigning god. But Goku refuses to be defeated by his new body and strives to master his younger form in order to fight with the same prowess as his adult self. Accompanied by Kaioshin and Glorio—a mysterious but seemingly rebellious demon—Goku pursues Gomah to the Demon Realm to rescue Dende and return his friends to their natural ages.
