The official website for the “ Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ” franchise
announced the production of a new anime titled “ Magical Girl Lyrical
Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance ,” which is part of the franchise’s
20th anniversary. The press release listed the anime as scheduled to
premiere in Japan in 2025 , but did not reveal any production details.
Additionally, a new manga titled “ Magical
Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS ” will be published through Kodansha ’s Suiyobi
no Sirius service . The franchise’s original author Masaki
Tsuzuki is in charge of the concept for this new work, while Shuichi
Kawakami (Extreme Hearts, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Innocent) is in
charge of the designs.

The “ Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ”
franchise was created by Masaki Tsuzuki and began in 2004 with
the television series of the same name. Since its premiere, the series has
managed to capture the attention of a wide audience thanks to its mix of
magical action, endearing characters, and an immersive narrative.
The story began as a spin-off of the PC game “Triangle
Heart 3,” in which Nanoha Takamachi was a supporting character. The anime
series debuted in 2004 and quickly distinguished itself with its more mature
and tactical approach to the magical girl genre. Its success led to the
creation of multiple sequels, films, and manga adaptations.
In addition to the television series, the franchise
has released several films that reimagine and expand on the original story. In January
2020, a new project for the franchise was announced, though the format or
medium of the project was not specified. Since then, Masaki Tsuzuki ,
the creator and writer of the series, has worked on other projects, including
the original anime “ Extreme Hearts ,” which premiered in July
2022.
Synopsis of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha
Nanoha Takamachi, an ordinary third grader who enjoys
spending time with her family and friends, rescues an injured ferret she had
dreamed about the night before. The next day, the ferret telepathically calls
out to her, begging her to save him. The ferret reveals himself to be Yuuno
Scrya, a magician from another world who is attempting to collect the dangerous
21 Jewel Seeds he accidentally scattered across the world. He enlists Nanoha's
help, gifts her the magical wand Rising Heart, and teaches her how to become a
powerful magician.
Days later, after recovering some of the Jewel Seeds,
another mage appears: Fate Testarossa. Stronger than Nanoha, Fate refuses to
reveal her motives for attempting to collect the Jewel Seeds. Nanoha senses
melancholy in her eyes, but Fate refuses to communicate. Directed by Akiyuki
Shinbo, Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha is a story about the clash of emotions when
goals collide.
