A press
release listed that the popular video game developed by Arc System
Works , “ Guilty Gear Strive ,” will have an anime
adaptation titled “ Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers .” The
release listed the production details and confirmed that the premiere is
scheduled for the Spring-2025 season (April-June) in Japan.
For its
part, the original video game was released in June 2021 for the PlayStation
4 , PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Windows consoles
, and later for Xbox One , Xbox Series and Nintendo
Switch . It is the seventh installment in the chronological order of
the “ Guilty Gear ” franchise, but it is the twenty-fifth
installment in the series overall. Overall, “ Guilty Gear Strive ”
received positive reviews praising its visual style, gameplay mechanics and
netcode, and has sold over 3 million copies as of July 2024.
