Recent leaks have shocked fans of “ Komi-san
Can't Communicate ” ( Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu ),
the popular manga written and illustrated by Oda Tomohito, by claiming
that the work will reach its conclusion in three more chapters. Although
it has not been officially confirmed, these leaks have generated an intense
debate among fans, who were already beginning to speculate about the imminent
outcome after the most recent events in the plot.
“ Komi-san Can't Communicate ” premiered
in Shogakukan 's Weekly
Shonen Sunday magazine in May 2016. The story follows Shouko Komi, a
beautiful but extremely shy girl who dreams of making 100 friends, and her
classmate Hitohito Tadano, who decides to help her overcome her difficulties in
communicating. With a mix of comedy, romance, and endearing moments,
the series has earned a special place in readers' hearts.
To date, the manga has published almost 500 chapters,
consolidating itself as one of the longest-running series in its magazine. It
also has more than 30 compilation volumes, which reflects the enormous success
it has had both in Japan and internationally. “Komi-san Can't
Communicate” has been adapted into a two-season anime, both broadcast on
Netflix , which received a warm reception thanks to its faithful
adaptation and quality animation produced by OLM.
However, one of the points that worries fans the most is
that, despite the popularity of the franchise, a third season of the anime has
not yet been announced. This fact has led to speculation that, if the
manga concludes soon, the producers could choose to adapt all the remaining
content into a final season or even a movie.
While the series' potential conclusion marks the end of an
era, it also opens the door to new possibilities, such as additional
adaptations or even spin-offs. The upcoming chapters are sure to be
emotionally charged as readers bid farewell to Komi-san, Tadano, and the rest
of the beloved cast that has accompanied fans for nearly a decade.
Synopsis of Komi-san Can't Communicate
It’s Shouko Komi’s first day at the prestigious Itan
Private High School, and she’s already become the school’s Madonna. With her
long black hair and tall, elegant appearance, she catches the attention of
anyone who passes her. However, there’s one problem: despite her popularity,
Shouko is terrible at communicating with others. Hitohito Tadano is your
typical high school boy. With his life motto of “reading the situation and
making sure to stay out of trouble,” he quickly discovers that sitting next to
Shouko has made him the enemy of everyone in his class.
One day, having accidentally fainted, Hitohito wakes up
to the sound of Shouko's "meow." He lies that he didn't hear
anything, causing Shouko to run off. But before she can escape, Hitohito
surmises that Shouko is not able to talk to others easily; in fact, she has
never been able to make a single friend. Hitohito decides to help Shouko in her
goal of making a hundred friends so that she can overcome her communication
disorder.
