On the
official site for the anime adaptation of Sora Suigetsu and DeeCHA ’s
light novels , “ The White Mage Who Was Banished From
the Hero’s Party Is Picked Up By an S-Rank Adventurer: This White Mage Is Too
Out of the Ordinary! ( Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou sareta Shiromadoushi,
S-Rank Boukensha ni Hirowareru: Kono Shiromadoushi ga Kikakugai Sugiru )”,
the project’s main promotional video was revealed. The release listed the
premiere as being scheduled for the Summer 2025 (July-September) period ,
and revealed the voice cast and production staff.
Suigetsu began publishing the novels
through the independent Shousetsuka ni Naro service in March
2020, while Futabasha has been publishing them in paperback with
illustrations by DeeCHA since November 2020. A manga
adaptation by Wasabi Mukuno has been published through Futabasha 's Gaugau
Monster service since January 2021 .

One day,
Lloyd, a white magician, is kicked out of the hero party. Lloyd, who has lost
his job, happens to accompany an S-rank party on a mission. At the time, no one
knew that the hero party would fall apart and Lloyd would gain fame… yet. This
is the story of an extraordinary support magic user who thinks he is ordinary
and becomes an adventurer, while being unaware of how he ends up becoming
someone like no other.
