Through a press release, author Shizumu Watanabe announced that his manga " Dead Account " will have an anime adaptation produced by SynergySP studios . The release did not reveal a scheduled premiere date, but it did list the voice cast, which includes:

  • Nobuhiko Okamoto as Soji Enoshiro.

  • Kouki Uchiyama as Kukuru Kasubata.

  • Ai Fairouz as Kiyomi Urusugawa.

The statement included a comment from the author:

  • « "Dead Account" is getting a TV anime adaptation! One of the big themes of this show is the "generational shift between analog and digital." If you think about it, television also went through that transition, leaving analog behind and becoming digital. Looking back on my childhood, when I would sit glued to a CRT TV screen watching anime, the excitement of this story becoming an anime really starts to hit home. With the incredibly talented production team and cast, "Dead Account" has become even stronger in this adaptation. I hope you enjoy it! »

Shizumu Watanabe began serializing the manga in Kodansha 's Weekly Shonen Magazine in January 2023, and later moved it to the Magazine Pocket service in October 2023. He previously serialized the manga " Real Account " in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine between February 2014 and November 2019. This manga was going to be adapted into a live-action film, but the project ended up being canceled.
