A press
release listed that Hey's manga, " Kamiina Botan, the Drunken
Appearance Is a Lily Flower ( Kamiina Botan, Yoeru Sugata wa
Yuri no Hana )", is getting an anime adaptation. The release
included details about the production team and a concept video (which does not
reflect the final product's appearance), as well as a commentary by the author:
- I'm very happy to announce the
anime adaptation of Kamiina Botan. Finally, I can share with you all the
excitement I felt when I first saw that wonderful concept video. During
production, we worked hard to align our perspectives and held many
conversations. Everyone involved has shown great respect for the original
work, while fully expressing their creativity and skills. I feel very
fortunate to be able to work with them. With a glass in hand, I invite you
all to look forward to it.
For its
part, Hey began publishing the manga through Akita
Shoten 's Manga Cross magazine in March 2019, where
it is still serialized. This is the author's first published work, so it's
considered a great success that his first serialized manga has already gotten
an anime.
