During a
special event, the production of a new anime for the
" Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka? ( Is the Order a
Rabbit? )" franchise was announced, on the occasion of the
brand's tenth anniversary. The release did not reveal any additional details,
but this announcement comes more than four years after the conclusion
of the anime's third season in December 2020.
Koi began publishing the manga
through Houbunsha 's Manga Time Kirara
Max magazine in March 2011, and it is still in serialization. The work
has inspired a total of three anime seasons totaling 36 episodes, released
in Spring 2014, Fall 2015, and Fall 2020, and produced by WHITE FOX , Kinema
Citrus , and Encourage Films , respectively.
Synopsis
of Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?
Kokoa
Hoto is a positive and energetic girl who makes friends with anyone in just
three seconds. After moving in with the Kafuu family to attend high school far
from home, she quickly befriends the shy and precocious granddaughter of Rabbit
House café founder Chino Kafuu, who is often seen wearing the talking rabbit
Tippy on her head. After starting work as a waitress in exchange for room and
board, Kokoa also befriends another part-time waitress, Rize Tedeza, who has
unusual behavior and significant physical abilities due to her military
upbringing; Chiya Ujimatsu, a waitress at a rival café who does everything at
her own pace; and Sharo Kirima, another waitress at another café who has a
noble air despite being impoverished. Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? is an
endearing comedy about five young waitresses and their fun adventures in the
city they call home.
