Haigakura will resume this summer

On the official website for the anime adaptation of Shinobu Takayama 's manga " Haigakura ", it was announced that the anime will resume broadcasting during Summer 2025 (July-September), but from the first episode. The announcement included a promotional video and a special visual to celebrate this announcement.

The show originally began airing on October 7, 2024, but was suspended before the eighth episode in November due to the production team reporting they needed more time to maintain the series' quality. Starting on November 25 of that year, the series began re-airing all of its episodes to date.

Shinobu Takayama began publishing the manga through Ichijinsha's Zero -Sum Ward magazine in 2008. When the magazine ceased publication in 2015, the manga continued to be published through the Zero-Sum Online service, eventually becoming Takayama's longest-running serialization. To date, it has over 16 compiled volumes and over 1.3 million copies in circulation.

Synopsis of Haigakura

The balance of the world is profoundly upset when the evil gods known as the Four Banes break their seals and disappear along with eight million lesser deities. In the gods' absence, the lands become barren and famine threatens the land of the Eight Immortals. To restore the fragile harmony, the kashi—gifted dancers and singers—must hunt down the missing deities in other realms, enchant them with their artistic skills, and seal them using the power of their rosaries.

Although an exceptional dancer, Ichiyou is ridiculed by his peers for his lack of singing talent. Still, the Eight Immortals entrust him with the mission of retrieving the Four Detriments before the world falls into complete chaos. With the help of his familiars, Tenkou and Kaka, Ichiyou undertakes the dangerous task assigned to him, taking him all the way to modern-day Japan. To save the world, Ichiyou must not only find the missing gods, but also uncover the truth behind their disappearance—a mystery eerily intertwined with his own past.
