On the
official site for the anime adaptation of " Kobayashi-san Chi no
Maid Dragon ( Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid )
", a promotional video had been revealed for the next film
in the franchise titled " Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: A Lonely
Dragon Wants to be Loved ", which will adapt the famous " Kanna Kamui Arc ".
Its premiere is scheduled for June 27, 2025 in theaters in Japan.
Now, at an
AnimeJapan 2025 event, new details have been revealed, including a visual and
two new cast members: Fumihiko Tachiki as Kimun Kamui and Nobunaga
Shimazaki as Azad . Additionally, it was confirmed that Fhána
will be performing the film's opening theme song , titled Namida no
Parade (Tearful Parade), and the statement included comments from the two new
cast members:
- Fumihiko Tachiki (Kimun Kamui) : "In terms
of his appearance in the opening scene and his presence, he appears to be
a large man who, at first glance, looks ordinary, but at the same time has
a mysterious atmosphere and a grand presence. This was a role I've never
played before. In terms of the conversations, I tried to keep his speech
simple but with a unique personality, and I focused on portraying him as I
would portray myself at this moment. Within the play, his past and future
relationships with his daughter, and related scenes, are shown in a very
impressive way. I think the film is a unique fantasy that is unlike any
other. Please enjoy this entire world on the big screen and experience the
film!"
- Nobunaga Shimazaki (Azad) : "I'm
Nobunaga Shimazaki and I will be voicing Azad in the movie Kobayashi-san
Chi no Maid Dragon: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved. When I was offered
this role, along with the wonderful news that Maid Dragon was going to be
made into a movie, I felt very fortunate to be a part of this project.
We've already finished filming, but wow... it was quite a challenge to 'be
human'! I hope you're all as excited as I am to see it."
The film
will also be released in 199 theaters in Japan, with special screenings in 4DX
and MX4D. As for the cast, Shiori Sugiura will voice Ilulu, replacing
Tomomi Mineuchi, who stepped down from the voice acting role in 2022.

- Cool-kyou Shinja began publishing its
manga in Futabasha 's Monthly Action magazine
in May 2013. The anime adaptation, produced by Kyoto Animation studios
, has so far twenty-five episodes and several OVAs, released in the
periods of Winter-2017 (January-March) and Summer-2021 (July-September).
- The voice cast includes: Mutsumi
Tamura as Kobayashi, Yuki Kuwahara as
Tohru, Maria Naganawa as Kanna Kamui, among others.
- The production team consists
of Tatsuya Ishihara as director, Yuka Yamada in
charge of writing and supervising the scripts, and Miku Kadowaki on
character design and animation direction.
- The story follows Kobayashi, a
programmer who, after an encounter with a dragon named Tooru, is surprised
to find him transformed into a young maid who decides to move into her
home as a thank you. Though initially unsure of her desire,
Kobayashi eventually accepts Tooru's presence, as he uses his dragon
powers to fulfill his role as a maid in surprising ways.
