Great news for fans of " Sono Bisque Doll wa
Koi wo Suru ( My Dress-Up Darling )"! Following
the leak that revealed the sequel's July 2025 release date as previously
teased, Aniplex has officially confirmed the news during its AnimeJapan
2025 event. During the anime's radio show presentation, it was revealed that
the second season will indeed premiere as planned. Additionally, a
" Memories " promotional video and special
illustration were released to commemorate the announcement.
As we already knew, the new season will adapt several
important arcs , including the "Shizuku Kuroe Arc, Part 2",
the "Arisa Izayoi Arc", the "Rei Kogami Arc", and the
"Coffin Arc", with the same main staff from the first season
returning to ensure the magic remains intact. So we can already start
counting down the days until July 2025!

revealed so far:
- The
anime adaptation of " Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru ( My
Dress-Up Darling )" premiered in Winter 2022 (January-March)
with a total of twelve episodes, covering the story's early key
moments. The series managed to captivate fans thanks to its unique
blend of romance and cosplay.
- The
manga, written by Shinichi Fukuda, began serialization in Square Enix's
Young Gangan magazine in January 2018 and ended in March 2025, which
surprised many fans due to the unexpectedness of the conclusion,
considering the pace at which events unfolded.
- As for the production team, CloverWorks studios were in charge of the adaptation,
- with Keisuke Shinohara in charge of direction. The scripts were written and supervised by Yoriko Tomita , while the character designs were in charge of Kazumasa Ishida , recognized for his work on Kiznaiver and Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend . The music was composed by Takeshi Nakatsuka .
- The
plot follows Wakana Gojou, a first-year student with a passion for
traditional doll-making, but who struggles to socialize due to his shyness
and love of the art. Everything changes when he meets Marin Kitagawa, an
outgoing girl and cosplay enthusiast. Despite their differences,
they become close friends and begin collaborating on costume creation.
