Following
the airing of the final episode, production was announced for a second season
of an anime adaptation of Ran Kuze 's romance manga , “ Medaka
Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms ( Kuroiwa Medaka ni
Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai ).” The statement did not reveal production
details or a scheduled premiere date, but it is implied that SynergySP
studios will continue to handle the project .
It's
definitely a surprise considering the adaptation was received unfavorably for
its questionable animation quality , but it doesn't hurt to check out the details about the
franchise:
- Ran Kuze began serializing the
manga in Kodansha 's Weekly Shonen Magazine in
May 2021, and is still in serialization. It is the author's first work to
receive an anime adaptation.
- The voice cast includes Yuu
Serizawa as Mona Kawai and Ryouta Iwasaki as
Medaka Kuroiwa.
- The production team includes names such as Yoshiaki Okumura on direction at SynergySP , Kazuyuki Fudeyasu on scripts, Mayumi Watanabe on character design, and Akiyuki Tateyama on the soundtrack.
- The story centers on Mona
Kawai, a beautiful and popular girl who attempts to seduce Medaka Kuroiwa,
the only boy immune to her allure. Unaware that he is training to
be a monk and must resist temptations, Mona eventually develops genuine
feelings for him.
