Following
today's episode, production on a third season of the anime
adaptation of the novels " Shangri-La Frontier: Crappy Game Hunter
Challenges God-Tier Game " was announced. The statement didn't
reveal a scheduled premiere date, but considering the timeliness of the
announcement, it's assumed the production team will remain unchanged.
It's
worth noting that "Shangri-La Frontier" is one of the most popular
series right now ,
although for some reason a video game in Japan has categorized it as an
"isekai." The news of a sequel is always positive, especially when it
comes immediately after the conclusion of an anime series, but how long will we
have to wait to see Sunraku's misadventures again?

Frontier " is a manga by Ryousuke Fuji ,
based on the web novel by Katarina , serialized in Kodansha 's Weekly
Shonen Magazine since July 2020.
- The first season premiered in
October 2023 and had two consecutive seasons. The second season began on
October 13, 2024, also with two seasons. Crunchyroll handles its
international distribution.
- The anime is directed by Toshiyuki
Kubooka at C2C Studios , with Hiroki Ikeshita serving
as assistant director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is supervising
and writing the scripts, Ayumi Kurashima is the character
designer and animation director, and MONACA is composing
the music.
- Rakurou Hizutome is a high
school student passionate about video games, especially the low-quality
ones, which he dedicates himself to "destroying." However,
when he tries out the VRMMO Shangri-La Frontier, his gaming experience
will be put to the test as he uncovers the secrets this digital world
hides.
