It seems
that the second season of " My Happy Marriage ( Watashi
no Shiawase na Kekkon )" has hit a bit of a snag in its
broadcast. As mentioned in our previous news , the series has been airing
in Japan for a while now, but now Kadokawa has announced a delay in the
broadcast of Episode 12 (the 25th episode in the franchise) due to production
issues.
The
official website confirmed that the episode, originally scheduled for
March 24, will now air on March 31 on Japanese television , and the
same will happen with its global premiere on Netflix. A slight hiccup in the
schedule, but at least a new date is now secured.
Here are
the details so far:
- The first season of "My
Happy Marriage" premiered in Summer 2023 (July-September) and
consisted of a total of twelve episodes. The series was well-received both in
Japan and internationally, notable for its meticulous animation and
heartwarming story. Netflix handled its global distribution, allowing the
series to reach a wider audience outside of Japan.
- The original light novels were
written by Akumi Agitogi, who began publishing them independently in 2018
before they were acquired by Kadokawa. The publisher began publishing the
series in physical format in January 2019, with illustrations by Tsukiho
Tsukioka, consolidating its success and expanding its reader base.
- The manga adaptation,
illustrated by Rito Kousaka, began serialization in December 2018 through
Square Enix's Gangan Online service. The manga has continued in
print and has complemented the original story with a more detailed visual
approach.
- The production team
includes Takehiro Kubota (direction at Kinema
Citrus), Ami Satou , Takahito Oonishi and Gakaitai
Suzume (script and supervision), Sachiko Yasuda (character
design and animation direction) and Evan Call (soundtrack
composition).
