A press release reported that Yousuke Nakamaru and Kyoutarou Azuma 's manga " Tenkaichi: The Greatest Warrior Under the Rising Sun ( Tenkaichi: Nihon Saikyou Bugeisha Ketteisen )" is getting an anime adaptation. The release included a special promotional image, but did not reveal any production details or a scheduled premiere date .
For his
part, Yousuke Nakamaru began publishing the manga
through Kodansha 's Young Magazine the 3rd magazine in
January 2021, with art by Kyoutarou Azuma . After the magazine
ceased publication in May of the same year, serialization moved to Monthly
Young Magazine , where it continues to this day.
Synopsis
of Tenkaichi: The Greatest Warrior Under the Rising Sun
This
isn't history as we know it. The year is 1600. Ten years have passed since Oda
Nobunaga unified all of Japan. When Nobunaga realizes his life is nearing its
end, he announces that he will hand over the reins of power to whoever brings
him the strongest warrior. The generals, whose dreams of conquering the country
had been crushed, field their own strongest warriors and aim to become the
kings of the country. The first bout is the unbeatable spear wielder Honda
Tadakatsu (sponsored by Tokugawa Ieyasu) against the evolving prodigy Miyamoto
Musashi (sponsored by Chosokabe Motochika)!!
