It's coming
with a bang! As we mentioned a few weeks ago in our previous article,
" Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc " will hit
theaters in Japan on September 19. But now there's more news: Sony
Pictures Entertainment has just announced that it has acquired the worldwide
distribution rights to the film.
This
means the film will premiere in the United States on October 29th, while in
more than 80 countries it will be available starting September 24th. However, the exact dates for
Latin America (which would fall on the second date) have not yet been revealed,
so we'll have to stay tuned for future announcements.
Ready
for this new Chainsaw Man arc on the big screen? Don't forget to check out the details
revealed so far:
- The Chainsaw Man anime debuted
in the Fall 2022 season, with a total of twelve episodes. As for the manga, its
author, Tatsuki Fujimoto , began publication in Shueisha 's Weekly
Shonen Jump magazine in December 2018, concluding its first
part in December 2020. The continuation of the story has been published
since July 2022 through the digital platform Shonen Jump Plus .
- The voice cast includes Kikunosuke
Toya, Fairouz Ai, Shogo Sakata, Tomori Kusunoki, Reina Ueda, Mariya Ise,
Kenjirou Tsuda, Shiori Izawa, Daiki Hamano and You Taichi.
- The production includes names
such as Tatsuya Yoshihara in the direction at MAPPA , Hiroshi
Seko in charge of script supervision, Souta Yamazaki and
Kazutaka Sugiyama in character design and animation direction, as
well as Kensuke Ushio in musical composition.
- The story follows Denji, a
young man who survives by hunting demons to pay off his debts. His
life takes an unexpected turn when he fuses with Pochita, his loyal
chainsaw demon. Becoming Chainsaw Man, Denji joins the Special
Demon Slayer Division, facing increasingly dangerous enemies and
unraveling the mysteries of his world.
