"Dandadan"
keeps on killing it! The
anime's official Twitter account reported that Yukinobu Tatsu's manga
has surpassed the incredible 10 million copies in circulation. And, to
celebrate, they released a special trailer featuring scenes from the anime's
first season, which ended a few months ago. But that's not all: they also
opened a new website to celebrate the release of Volume 19 of the manga, which
will be released on April 4, 2025.
Dandadan's
growth has been insane. By December 2024, it had reached 5 million copies, and
in less than four months, it doubled that number! Before that, with Volume 11, it was at
3.2 million, and by November 2024, with 17 volumes, it had climbed to 4
million. The big boost came with the Fall 2024 (October-December) anime, which
led to more people discovering the story.
So much so,
that the first four volumes of the manga entered the Top 20 best-seller list in
the U.S. in November 2024. Additionally, "Dandadan"
became one of the fastest-growing series in North America, according to
Circana.
Since
its release on the Shonen Jump Plus service in April 2021, "Dandadan"
has captivated fans with its blend of action, comedy, and the supernatural. It is currently being published
on Manga Plus in Spanish and English, and also on Viz Media.
And
watch out, because it doesn't end here: Science Saru studio confirmed that the
second season of the anime will arrive in July 2025. The series continues to grow,
and with the hype it has, it looks like it's here to stay. The Dandadan
phenomenon continues with a vengeance!
