A recent
leak by popular user " @/SugoiLITE " listed that Yousuke
Kaneda 's manga , " The Classroom of a Black Cat and
a Witch ( Kuroneko to Majo no Kyoushitsu )", will
be getting an anime adaptation that will premiere sometime in 2026 in Japan. While
the information isn't officially confirmed, it comes from an extremely reliable
source for us, so it's only a matter of time before an announcement comes out.
For his
part, Yousuke Kaneda began publishing the manga in March 2022
through Kodansha 's Magazine Pocket service .
He previously published the popular manga " Kishuku Gakkou no
Juliet ( Boarding School Juliet )" from July
2015 to September 2019, which inspired an anime adaptation in Fall 2018
(October-December).
Synopsis
of The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch
The
Royal Diana Academy is a prestigious school that accepts individuals with
exceptional magical abilities. Upon graduation, its students typically achieve
the highest positions in their respective fields or end up employed by the
royal family. Spica Virgo dreams of studying at this academy, aspiring to
become a top-tier sorceress like her idol, Claude Sirius. Claude is a
world-renowned sorcerer who became the institution's youngest instructor, but
mysteriously disappeared shortly after.
Lacking
the experience and connections necessary to gain admission, Spica finds herself
unable to make significant progress in her training. However, one day she meets
a talking black cat with magical abilities. Hoping to change her situation, she
begs the animal to take her on as an apprentice and teach her the magic she
needs to enter the academy. The cat agrees to the deal on one condition: she
must find a way to reverse the curse that turned him into a feline. Despite the
arduous challenges that await her, Spica is determined to prove herself worthy
of being the student of such an enigmatic mentor.
