The second part of Boruto is already in production

After months of rumors and fans on the brink of despair, " Boruto: Naruto Next Generations " has finally shown signs of life. Studio Pierrot officially confirmed that Part 2 of the anime is already in production, marking the long-awaited return of this popular franchise. Although there's still no release date, at least it's certain that the project is moving forward.

The confirmation came directly from Studio Pierrot's official website, making it clear that these are not internet rumors or unfounded leaks. By being published on the official page, this announcement puts an end to the uncertainty that has existed since the anime went on hiatus in 2023. However, there are still no details about when it will return to the screen. Recall that "Boruto" concluded its first part on March 26, 2023, with episode 293, and the main reason for the hiatus was that the anime was about to catch up with the manga's storyline.

As the episodes progressed rapidly, the studio began adding a lot of filler episodes, and while some were entertaining, the sheer number and pace ended up tiring for many. Furthermore, criticism of the animation became increasingly common, especially toward the end. At the time, Studio Pierrot was also busy with large-scale productions like "Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War," so they had to redistribute their efforts and put "Boruto" on hold to reorganize.

Although the anime was put on hiatus, Boruto's story continued in the manga. Under the new title "Boruto: Two Blue Vortex," the manga launched on August 21, 2023, showing us a more mature Boruto with a much more serious story. This new arc delves into themes such as the mystery of karma, the threat of the Otsutsuki clan, and the complicated bond that continues to develop between Boruto and Kawaki. Those who didn't want to wait could follow the story through these chapters.

Expectations for this sequel are sky-high. Now that they've had plenty of time to plan, fans are hoping for minimal filler, improved animation quality, and a much closer adherence to the manga's material. If Studio Pierrot achieves all of this, there's no doubt it could win back many fans who were disappointed in the first installment.

Furthermore, Boruto has managed to build its own identity, gradually distancing itself from Naruto's shadow. The series has explored how the ninja world has changed, including technological advances like computers and scientific weapons that have put a new spin on traditional combat. Along with new faces like Sarada Uchiha, Mitsuki, and Kawaki, and the return of classic characters like Naruto, Sasuke, and Hinata, Boruto has managed to keep the excitement alive while offering something different from what we knew in previous generations.
