As previously reported , the rumors turned out to be
true: the anime "Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!" will have a
second season. The confirmation came during the special event
"Tsuwabuki High School Literature Club's Extracurricular Activity,"
held on April 6 in Japan, where the production of this sequel was officially
announced.
The
first season, based on the light novels written by Takibi Amamori and
illustrated by Imigimuru, premiered in July 2024. Since then, the series
has become quite popular, and it's no wonder they decided to continue it. Crunchyroll
streamed the first season under the English title "Makeine: Too Many
Losing Heroines!", so the second season will most likely arrive on the
platform as well.
There's
no release date or further details about the production team or story yet ,
but with this announcement, fans of "loser heroines" now have
something to look forward to.
- "Make Heroine ga
Ooisugiru!" (also known as Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!) is a
light novel series written by Takibi Amamori and illustrated by Imigimuru. The
story blends romantic comedy with a particular focus on female characters
who would normally be lost in a typical high school romance.
- The first season of the anime
premiered in July 2024 in Japan and was streamed internationally on
Crunchyroll under the English title Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!. The
series garnered attention for its unique focus on “loser heroines” and its
self-referential humor.
- The story follows Kazuhiko
Nukumizu, a student who can't help but get involved with girls who, for
some reason, always lose in the game of love. With a rather dull
personality, Kazuhiko becomes the unexpected focus of attention for
several "loser heroines" who, in other stories, would never have
had their moment in the spotlight. The series offers a fun and
somewhat ironic take on the clichés of high school romance.
