On April 1st, Netmarble released a promotional video for the smartphone game "Tower of God: New World," and while it was released in the context of April Fool's Day, it's no joke. The collaboration with Hololive Production , the famous Japanese VTuber group, is completely real and has been in the works for months.

In the video, it's revealed that Mori Calliope and Tokoyami Towa, two members of Hololive Production, will be joining the game as new SSR+ characters. Players will be able to add them to their team starting April 9, when the collaboration event kicks off. The video also teases an exclusive story featuring these characters and several in-game events with rewards for everyone. Additionally, there will be a limited-time collaboration costume for fans to earn.

"Tower of God: New World" is a collectible card RPG based on the popular webtoon "Tower of God," which has won millions of readers around the world. The series, written by SIU, follows the story of Twenty-Fifth Bam, a young man who has spent his entire life inside the mysterious Tower, where he has been searching for his friend Rachel. When she decides to ascend the Tower, Bam follows her, unaware of the dangers that await him. The Tower itself is a gigantic and enigmatic place, composed of multiple levels, and each of these levels is ruled by powerful beings called "Guardians."

Each level is filled with challenges, enemies, traps, and trials, and only the strongest make it to the top. Along his journey, Bam meets other characters who also have their own reasons for climbing the Tower, such as Khun Aguero Agnis, a cunning strategist, and Rak Wraithraiser, a massive and fearsome warrior. Together they face different challenges while exploring the Tower's intricate hierarchy, where the desires for power, revenge, and sacrifice are intertwined.

The webtoon has been a global hit, with over 6 billion views and has inspired three anime adaptations. The plot combines elements of action, mystery, and a deep exploration of the characters' psychology, attracting a loyal fanbase. If you're a fan of Tower of God or Hololive Production, this event promises to be a blast. Don't miss it!
